SYPNOSIS

Lady Magma is a celebration of female strength, creeping out of a 1970’s burnt orange aesthetic. The dancers throb, this is the birth of a cult before our eyes. This dance is a ritual, dedicated to desire, to sexual energy, to love.

A REFLECTION ON THEIR HOMETOWN, THIS FOUR-PART DANCE WORK IS BASED ON THE EXPERIENCES AND REALITIES OF PEOPLE LIVING IN TODAY’S BELFAST.

DOHERTY CREATES A PHYSICAL PRAYER CELEBRATING ALL WE HAVE AND AN INVOCATION FOR ALL THAT WE ARE MISSING.
