THE ENSEMBLE PROJECTS
ENSEMBLE IS AT THE HEART OF PRIME CUTS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WORK. WE HAVE DELIVERED THE ENSEMBLE PROJECTS ACROSS NORTHERN IRELAND SINCE 2014, WORKING WITH A RANGE OF COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, EXPLORING THEIR VIEWS AND OPINIONS OF THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES, AND NORTHERN IRELAND AS A WHOLE.
ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO ENABLE US TO WORK IN A NEW WAY AND CREATE MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS WITH COMMUNITIES, PLACING PARTICIPANT OWNERSHIP AND INCLUSIVITY FRONT AND CENTRE, ENSEMBLE HAS IN FACT ALLOWED US TO ARTISTICALLY ENGAGE WITH A WIDE RANGE OF GROUPS, CREATING NEW CONNECTIONS AND EXPLORING THE ISSUES, THEY DEFINED AS MOST IMPACTFUL IN THEIR LIVES.
TO DATE WE HAVE WORKED WITH OVER 70 GROUPS AND 2000 PEOPLE INCLUDING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, OLDER PEOPLE, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, MEMBERS OF THE BME COMMUNITIES OF NORTHERN IRELAND.
FROM AN INITIAL SERIES OF FOUR WORKSHOPS, PER GROUP, LARGER LEGACY PROJECTS HAVE GROWN INCLUDING 3 LARGE-SCALE LIVE PERFORMANCES, A YOUNGER CHILDREN DIVERSITY PROJECT, 2 SHORT FILMS AND A THREE YEAR MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTS PROJECT EXPLORING DEMENTIA.
PARTICIPATION IN ENSEMBLE IS FREE AND IS OPEN ON A YEAR-ROUND ROLLING BASIS.
